That's me, Patty Liston, visiting Happy Home Primary School. Beside me is the incredible Osman, the Founder and Head Master. He started the school in 2004 with 6 students. When Roger and I first visited in April of 2019, the enrollment was 2,865. No, you did not read that wrong. The comma is in the right place.
The smallest class has 85 students, the largest 120. This school accommodates every child who wants to learn, because Osman believes that EVERY child should be able to come to school. Learning English is a requirement. Standing with Boys has adopted this school. In 2019 we held a boys conference, a girl's maturation program, started organizing a Family Literacy Center, attended a graduation ceremony as guests of honor, distributed much needed soccer balls during the holidays, shared science experiments, and hosted a small team that brought games and activities for the younger classes.
